Iron For Athletes

If you are susceptible to low iron (females, endurance athletes, vegetarians), it will be important to take a look at your regular nutrition routine to see where you could strategically add foods rich in iron.

Consuming iron rich foods on a regular basis paired with foods that are high in vitamin C can be a really great way to keep iron stores up!

If you suspect you have low iron stores, make sure you get your blood work checked BEFORE you start taking iron supplements. You do not want to purchase iron supplements before you know how low (or high) your iron stores are.

If you are looking for ways to get ahead of your competitors and stay injury free by using nutrition to your advantage, message me! I would love to talk with you about your fitness and nutrition goals!
